I really like this depiction of a flower. It is very realistic and obviously a flower, yet presented in an abstract form - the 'abstract' feel is more prominent when looking at the background of the flower.
The textures can be clearly seen and this adds to the concept of the brightness of the flower jumping up out of the dullness of the shrub or tree it is in. It is like a brilliant flash of colour in a semi-dull jungle.
I would really like to see something similar with a more greenish background; I think it would make the picture feel more life-like and vibrant.
Your vision is impeccable. The flower splashes towards you in background textures of white, green, purples, blue, and red... all full of flavors like abstract eye candy. The black & white circles, representing pollen reminds me of pearls.
Your originality sparkles. This one simple red Iris-like flower brings about a fresh design. With bold strokes of a flat paint brush and delightful circles, it adds up to an original and energetic painting.
Technique: Thick bold strokes of whites purple and gentle green against dark blue beautiful frames the flower. Strokes of red gives the flower a sweeping motion, pulling the viewer in.
Impact: This work portrays a professional design combining soft and bold colors, like an exciting flavor of sweet & sour. Like a delicious flavor, it is art that people would want.
