COLOUR OF SPRING

This is the opposite tone to what I have seen before: here the background is simple, it is broad daylight on an almost cloudless sky. No sunsets. The flowers now are the main event, and what we lose in play between background and foreground we get back in detail and attention to the colorful flowers and their greenery. The slope of the flower plant makes it seem as if it is blowing in the wind towards the left, avoiding a straight-up-and-down painting, creating more play and action in the piece. The background while simpler is still beautiful with faint clouds in misty white. The flower plant(s) is impossible, a fantasy plant with all sorts of different colored blossoms and other types of smaller blossoms and leaves. The diverse colorful plant life is collected and concentrated to great effect. The choice of colors is spot on.
