A fine exploration into the power of primary color. Reminiscent of the Fauvists, it contains the beginning of a conversation on how color can become an emotional catalyst in the viewer. Rothko was a master of this, and you may enjoy his work.
Your use of texture creates some nice seperation between layers. I'd encourage you to develop this texture use into something more controlled -- complicated shapes, for example, or deliberate use of texture to create movement, etc.
Have you ever tried painting atop dried artwork with just paint thinner? It creates some fascinating effects, especially if left to pool and evaporate on its own.
First of all, I enjoy the colors, as always they are vibrant, not messed-up and not dirty. Also, the textures that you have made are so simple, but in the same way so mesmerizing! I could watch and watch this simple thing! Somehow the painting reminds me of day and night. Or, maybe, summer/autumn and winter or even the whole rhythm of nature? Well, I think that's left for the watcher to decide. This painting indeed deserves a DD, because it shows yours as an artists identity. It shows the vibrant colors that you use, the simple but gorgeous textures that you are able to make, the incredible color mixing techniques and of course the minimalism and the simpleness. I'd love to have this kind of painting hanging on my wall.
I'm sure you've gotten a lot of this but the texture and the colours are just unbelievable - it's amazing how you've managed to convey so much with so few details. I am in love with this work, absolutely fantastic job!
